5-Day Kilimanjaro Climb – Marangu Route

5 Days

OVERVIEW

The Marangu Route, often called the “Coca-Cola Route”, is the oldest, most popular, and the only Kilimanjaro route that offers hut accommodations instead of tents. Over five days, climbers trek through lush rainforests, moorlands, and alpine deserts, gradually making their way to the snowy summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. This route is considered the shortest path to the summit, but it requires strong determination because the ascent and descent are completed within just five days. Known for its comfort of huts and a direct trail, the Marangu Route is perfect for those seeking a shorter climb with basic facilities, while still experiencing the beauty and challenge of Kilimanjaro.
